What is Leave A Legacy®?

What is Leave A Legacy®?

Every day, thousands of people living in Southwest Florida receive benefit from local charities. Through the efforts of nonprofit organizations underprivileged children receive health care, the frail elderly are allowed to live with dignity in their own homes, and the arts flourish in our communities. But, these charities cannot operate without our ongoing financial support.

Chances are, you already donate a portion of your income to nonprofit organizations of your choice. But have you considered including those organizations in your will? By leaving a legacy, you can continue to make a difference for generations of Southwest Floridians to come. Leave A Legacy® Southwest Florida can help you to get started in this rewarding process.

The Leave A Legacy® Mission

Leave A Legacy® is a local public awareness campaign that promotes charitable planned giving here in our Southwest Florida communities. The purpose of this effort is simple - we want to close the gap - between the 70 percent of Southwest Floridians who support charities in their lifetimes and the 6 percent who remember those charities through their wills or estate plans.

Whether you use a will or other estate planning vehicle, your generosity can impact countless lives. The time to prepare those docuements is now.

Leave A Legacy® has been encouraging planned giving in Southwest Florida since 1996. The organization is the public awareness arm of the Planned Giving Council of Lee County and the Collier County Council on Planned Giving. Leave A Legacy® does not promote any specific charities or donor advisors. Our mission is solely to provide information to assist the public in their support of nonprofit organizations.
